About Jenny

Jenny has loved beads and creating jewelry since her mother introduced her to the NY bead district when she was a child in the eighties. She was mesmerized by one store window after another filled with hanging strands of colorful beads from all over the world. It was and still is her idea of paradise.

Jenny grew up studying dance, painting and writing and is passionate about all art forms. Jenny finds inspiration for her jewelry everywhere — from paintings, dance performances, quotes and gorgeous landscapes to music and more. Her goal is to create distinct pieces that are not only beautiful, spiritual and vibrant, but evoke emotion and tell a story.

“I hope there is something for everyone at Jenny Lauren Jewelry and that you find as much joy wearing my pieces as I found creating them!” - Jenny

Jenny was “discovered” in 2012 as a jewelry designer and artist by the manager of Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Store in Sag Harbor, NY while she was shopping there wearing her own jewelry that she had designed and created. They hosted her first trunk show at the store and continued to represent Jenny Lauren Jewelry over the next few years by selling her pieces in-store as well as at four additional trunk shows.

Shortly thereafter, Buffy Birritella, Executive VP, Women’s Design and Advertising at Ralph Lauren, paid a visit to Jenny’s showroom and the rest is history. Buyers came to see Jenny’s work and soon after Ralph Lauren Flagship Stores began selling Jenny Lauren Jewelry across the United States and globally.

In 2013, models walked the runway at Ralph Lauren fashion shows adorned in signature statement pieces from Jenny’s collections. Jenny continued to work with the fashion brand until 2019 when she made the decision to represent Jenny Lauren Jewelry herself and make her jewelry available to the public via her own online store, jennylaurenjewelry.com.

Jenny grew up in a “fashion family” and has been influenced her whole life by her mom and dad and her uncle, Ralph Lauren. Jenny’s dad, Jerry Lauren, has been the Head of Menswear Design at Ralph Lauren for more than 40 years.
